Carolina Craft Frequently Asked Questions
Product Legality
All products sold by CCD are legal pursuant to the 2018 Farm Bill. Legislation from the Farm Bill distinguished hemp from marijuana. Under the Farm Bill, hemp is defined as any part of the Cannabis plant, including derivatives, with a Delta-9 THC concentration of no more than 0.3% on a dry weight basis. Products derived from hemp that do not exceed 0.3% Delta-9 THC concentration, adhere to this limit under the 2018 Farm Bill and are considered federally legal.
This means that products, including smokeables, drinkables, edibles, topicals, beverages, and other consumables, can contain Delta-9 THC as long as the concentration remains below that 0.3% threshold on a dry weight basis.
State Variation
Please note, it is crucial to remember that while federally legal, state laws vary significantly. Some states have stricter regulations or outright bans on Delta-9 THC, even hemp-derived products. It is your responsibility to understand the laws in your state regarding your purchase. For any customer specific questions regarding the legal framework within your state, you should consult your attorney before purchasing our products.

Product Testing
Carolina Craft Dispensary utilizes third-party testing to accurately measure the levels of Delta-9 THC, as well as other cannabinoids. This ensures that the product adheres to the 0.3% Delta-9 THC limit as required under the Farm Bill. You can shop with confidence at CCD knowing that our products have undergone the necessary testing to ensure our inventory is federally compliant. For more information on this, please refer to our COA page.
